Derbyshire-based manufacturer of bespoke pre-cast concrete, Evans Concrete, has appointed Matt Worsey as quality controller.
40 year-old Matt, from Swanick, is following in his Mother’s footsteps, as she worked for Evans for eight years before she left in 1963 to start a family.
Matt has previously worked for Meadowstone, where he spent seven years as assistant quality manager and then despatch manager.
Matt said: “I’ve always enjoyed a hands-on approach to solving problems and I joined Evans because I wanted a new challenge. I’m really hoping to make a difference to future quality and efficiency at the firm.”
Garry McBride, chairman of Evans Concrete, said: “We’re delighted to have Matt on board, he’s already made a difference to the quality of our products.”
