Bespoke precast concrete specialist, Evans Concrete, has been awarded a contract worth over £300,000 at the Glasgow Museum of Transport, designed by world renowned architect, Zaha Hadid.
The work involves the design, manufacture and installation of paving and skirting units made in precast concrete at several entrances to the new museum which is currently being built. Evans will also be manufacturing three staircases, one of which is curved, from architectural finished concrete.
The work is due to take place in three stages beginning in April and will be completed in 2010. The contract was awarded to Evans by BAM Construct.
