Bespoke precast concrete specialist, Evans Concrete, has secured a contract for work at Highbury, the previous ground of Arsenal Football Club.

The £100,000 project, awarded to Evans by PAYE Stonework, includes the design and manufacture of precast panels for the exterior of the stadium, which is currently being converted into a contemporary apartment complex.

Evans will be providing approx 200 precast concrete panels, measuring 1.5m x 2m. Special moulds have had to be made at Evans’ facility in Derbyshire to ensure that the new panels match existing panels on the development.

Garry McBride, Evans Chairman, said: “This is a very high profile redevelopment and we’re delighted to be involved and continues our strong working relationship with PAYE Stonework.”

Evans has also been awarded a £100,000 contract from Carillion, for the design, supply and installation of precast plinths for a new £3.5m bus station in Halesowen.
